Networking is about meeting people and building long-term relationships. You need a vehicle to meet the right people, those with both a buying and selling power, from the right companies - representing a broad range of services and with a similar attitude towards active networking.
BNS events bring together decision makers from a wide range of businesses who wish to promote their business and to expand their network of service providers.
Attendance is resticted to decision makers who have both a buying and selling authority. The events are structured but informal with an aim of creating an ideal environment for constructive, and enjoyable, networking.
Following a pre-lunch reception when there is time to mingle and chat, you will be seated on a table with decision makers from other businesses, but none competitive with your own.
Over lunch, each person at your table will be given the opportunity to explain about their company or service. This interactive session has proved a very successful way to develop business relations.
Are you someone who would like to grow your business through networking but are not in a position, either financially or time-wise, to commit to a year's worth of networking? Business Network Scotland's "try before you buy" offer may be just for you.
All you need to do is to book into 3 events up to 3 months in advance. The 3 events can be consecutive months in Aberdeen or Edinburgh or 3 events in either of the 2 areas within a 3 month period. The £180 is non-refundable but you can pay by debit or credit card over the phone.
After the trial period, if you then decide to join BNS for 12 months, the joining fee will be waived, saving you £50 + VAT.
Unlike other networking groups, BNS events are not hard sell opportunities. More importantly, they foster a strong sense of collegiality in very convivial surroundings in which new business relationships are forged. BNS has given us a whole range of new contacts in the local business community. We are frequently surprised by how often links made through BNS provide new business development opportunitiesJulie Clark-Spence, Balfour + Manson LLP
Having attended a number of networking groups over a number of years in Edinburgh, the one that stands out in my mind is BNS - extremely professional in approach, enjoyable format; where there is ample opportunity to 'properly network'. Devote 2-3 hours of your working day once a month and come and join us.Donald Maclean, Geoghegans Chartered Accounts
